Irving "Blue" Napier, age 81, of Hazard, KY passed away peacefully with his wife Shirley by his side. Blue was born on March 4th, 1943, in Manuel, KY the son of the late Jim T. and Mahala Napier of Hazard, KY.

Preceding in Death by his sisters Edith Miller, Julie Combs, Loretta Napier, Imojean Combs, and two brothers D.K. Napier and James Earl Napier. Blue was a coal miner owner & operator of Blue Coal Company, Owner & Operator of Napier Logging and owner and operator of Napier Grocery in Hazard, KY.

Blue is Survived by his wife of 62 years Shirley Ann Whitaker-Napier, one daughter Denise (Dan) Kilburn of Hazard, KY. One Sister, Orlena Begley & Don of Fairfield, OH; One Grandson Eric (Brionna) Kilburn of Beattyville, KY. one Great-Granddaughter Lukaiah Kilburn and one Bonus Great Grandson Weston Tate Hoskins. A special niece Katherine (Wayne) Neace of Hazard, KY a Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. In lieu of Flowers and Plants the family ask anyone please donate to an organization or charity of your choice in honor of Blue Napier.  A celebration of Life will be held March of 2025 exact location and date will be announced.
