Jackie Burkhart born April 26, 1945 departed this life on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 78-years old. Jackie was born in Harlan, Kentucky the son of the late Edgar Burkhart and the late Elijah Burkhart. Other than his parents, Jackie was also preceded in death by his Daughter, Connie Noble; Brothers, Benny Burkhart, Herb Burkhart and Leo Burkhart; One Sister, Ima J. Williams.

Jackie was a God loving and fearing man, was a coal miner for the majority of his life and provided for his family, he loved his daily hang out at Boone ledge greeting people. Jackie was a very humble and caring person. Most knew when Jackie was coming due to his love of humming.

Jackie Burkhart leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Loving & Devoted Wife of 57-years, Janice Burkhart of Bulan; Son-In-Law, Willie Noble; Adopted Daughter, Shonna Russell; Brother, James Burkhart of IN; Sisters, Martha Gross of Combs, Elma Burkhart of IN. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Jackie Burkhart will be held on Wednesday January 24, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday January 24, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Ken Miller officiating. The Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery in Jeff, Kentucky.
