Jackie Slone born November 30, 1949 departed this life on Tuesday – May 13, 2025 at the Mary Breckinridge ARH in Hyden, Kentucky being 75-years old.  Jackie was born in Perry County the son of the late Ray Slone and the late Geneva Jones Slone.  Other than his parents, Jackie was also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Slone and nephew, Keith Slone.  Jackie was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly serving in the U.S. Army.  Jackie enjoyed old cars, C.B. Radio's, watching westerns and repairing watches.  Jackie took great pride in the closeness of his family, he loved each of them dearly and would do anything for anyone.

Jackie Slone leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 55-years, Lena Mae Slone of Viper, KY; Children, Sandy Dixon & Shaun of Viper, Dwight Slone & Loretta of Viper, and Tammy Dixon & Wayne of Hallie, KY; granddaughter, Brittany Pierson & Cas Weddington of Richmond, KY; step-grandchildren, Anthony Vanover of Big Creek and Deidra Muncy of Knott County; step-great grandchildren, Lexi Vanover, Luke Vanover, Preston Muncy, Tristen Vanover, and Christian Vanover; brothers, Billy Slone & Chloe of London, KY and James Slone & Kitty of Cornettsville, KY; sister, Leshia Slone of Columbia, KY; also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation for Jackie Slone will be held on Sunday – May 18, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday – May 19, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Alfred Smith officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Spencer Cemetery located at Cornettsville, Kentucky.  Military Rites will be performed by the Leslie County D.A.V. Chapter #133.
