James Gerald Baker, born August 11, 1971 passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky being 51 years old.  James was born in Middletown, Ohio the son of Mimmie Baker and the late James Baker of Jackson, Kentucky.  James was a UK sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.

James was preceded in death by his Father, James Baker of Jackson, KY.

Mother: Mimmie Baker of Jackson, KY

Two Sons: Dylon Baker of Hazard, KY & Jonah Gilbert of Richmond, KY

One Daughter: Katherine Baker (James) of Hazard, KY

Three Sisters: Angie Willett (Jesse) of Jackson, KY, Jeanie Fraley of Jeffersonville, KY, and Cathy Turner of Franklin, OH

One Brother: Ray Baker (Sherry) of Jackson, KY

One Grandson: Xavier Warren of Hazard, KY

As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends survive.

Arrangements are handled by Engle-Bowling Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday October 22, 2022.  Funeral services will follow at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Sue Stacy officiating.  Interment will follow at the Buckhorn Government Cemetery located at Buckhorn, Kentucky.
