James "Bo" Sexton

James “Bo” Sexton born December 23, 1959, departed this life on Friday – August 21, 2026, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 66-years old. James was born in Slemp, Kentucky, the son of Bonnie Lou Sexton and the late Homer Sexton. Other than his father James was also preceded in death by his brother, Tim Sexton; maternal grandparents, Mack and Ritt Callahan; paternal grandparents, Lizzie and Howard Sexton.

James “Bo” Sexton leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: mother, Bonnie Lou Sexton; sisters, Deborah Callahan Manis, Ketrina Sexton; brothers, Ricky Sexton (Vickie), Joshua Sexton, Colson Cornett (Rosetta); five nephews, Steven Cornett, Barry Cornett, Derek Cornett, Logan Sexton, Trey Sexton; one niece, Stephanie Sexton; also a host friends and neighbors survive.

Visitation for James “Bo” Sexton will be held on Tuesday – August 25, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Charles Bush officiating. The Interment will follow in the Jack Callahan Cemetery located at Slemp, Kentucky.

James’s nephews will be serving as Pallbearers: Barry Cornett, Derek Cornett, Logan Sexton. Honorary Pallbearers: Steven Cornett, Nathan Cornett, Brandon Cornett.
