James C. Combs, born December 30, 1952 departed this life on Sunday-June 21, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, being 73-years old. James was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Ezecial Combs and the late Maudie Combs, other than his parents, James was also preceded in death by a host of sisters.

James leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory; his son, Linville Phillips; daughters, Melissa Williams, and Angela Nicholson; sister, Paula Kay Sumner; five grandchildren, Donovan Langdon, Cameron Phillips, Tiffany Hall, Jailon Napier, and Mia Hall, and a large host of special friends also survive.

Funeral Services for James C. Combs will be conducted on Friday – June 26, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral.  The Visitation will be held on Friday – June 26, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M.
