James Spencer born February 22, 1942 departed this life on Wednesday July 10, 2024 being 82-years old.  James was born in Ulvah, Kentucky the son of the late Asa T. Spencer and the late Thursa Lusk Spencer Gray.  Other than his parents, James was also preceded in death by his wife, Versie Spencer; son, Stephen Spencer; brother, Ronnie Lee Spencer; and daughter-in-law, Kay Spencer.  James was a truck driver for many years, owned a gas station in Indianapolis, and had also worked at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis.

James Spencer leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: children, Ronnie Spencer & Christine of Greensburg, IN, Penny Hornada & Kelvin of Mooresville, IN, Paula Bush & Jason of Wilbur, IN, Jimmie Spencer of Indiana, Charles Spencer of Kentucky, and JoAnna Allen of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Jerry Spencer & Mary of Avon, IN and Asa Spencer & Myrtle of Mooresville, IN; also a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for James Spencer will be conducted on Monday July 15, 2024 at the Krypton Brethren Church at Krypton, Kentucky from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M.  Funeral Service will follow on Monday July 15, 2024 at the Krypton Brethren Church at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Paul Sluss officiating.  The Interment will follow in the White John Colwell Cemetery located on Campbells Creek mountain at Busy, Kentucky.
