Jeffrey Preston Couch born September 29, 1963 departed this life on Sunday May 12, 2024 in Waycross, Georgia being 60-years old. Jeffrey was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana the son of the late James Preston "J.P" Couch and the late Dosha Shepherd Couch. Other than his parents, Jeffrey was also preceded in death by his infant son, James Edward Couch; brothers, Roger Couch and Albert Dewayne Couch. Jeffrey loved building and woodworking, was a huge jokester and loved talking about the bible.

Jeffrey Preston Couch leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: love of his life, Meria Neugent; son, Jeffrey Preston Couch, Jr. of Lexington, KY; daughter, Tara Couch of Knott Co; brothers, Harvey Couch of Busy, Arlin Joe Couch & Cookie of Busy, Harrison Wayne Couch & Jody of Gulfport, MS; sisters, Jeanette Baker of Beaver Dam, KY, Jennifer Stacy & Michael of Island, KY. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.

Visitation for Jeffrey Preston Couch was held on Saturday May 18, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.  Funeral Services was held on Saturday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. with Alan Shepherd officiating.  The Interment followed in the Couch Cemetery at Busy, Kentucky.
