Joey Rice born October 13, 1967 departed this life on Saturday – July 18, 2026 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center being 58-years old.  Joey was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Ronnie & Patricia Rice.  Joey worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for many years, he loved fishing, was a animal lover, and most of all loved his wife, children, grandchildren and family & friends.

Joey Rice leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 38-years, Tammy Rice of Viper, KY; daughter, Ashley Rice & Beth of Viper, KY; son, Preston Rice & Heather of Viper, KY; grandson, Weston Tyler Rice; parents, Ronnie & Patricia Rice of Viper, KY; sisters, Rhonda Brashear of Viper, KY and Regina Rice of Viper, KY; brothers, Bo Rice & Vicky of Viper, KY and Ronnie Rice & Melanie of Viper, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation will be held for Joey Rice on Wednesday – July 22, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday – July 23, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Terry Brewer officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Shell Cemetery located at Viper, Kentucky.
