John Earl Edwards, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday June 19, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center being 77-years old. John was born in Allock, Kentucky the son of the late John Earl Edwards, Sr. and the late Georgia Ann Johnson. Other than his parents, John was also preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Edwards. John worked at Hazard T.V. & Cable for 40 years, loved playing chess and spending time with his family.

John Earl Edwards, Jr. leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 50 years, Beverly Elsea Edwards of Hazard; son, John Mitchell Edwards of Hazard; daughter, Shannon Francis of Alpharetta, GA; brothers, Michael Edwards of Floyd Co., KY, Jeff Edwards of FL; sister, Susan Ratliff of Hyden, KY; grandchildren, Bethany Paige Edwards, Preston Edwards, John Bentley Edwards, Alexandria Edwards, Grayson Edwards, Jack Francis. A host of half brothers & sisters and other relatives and friends survive.
