John Earnest Feltner born June 25, 1944 departed this life on Monday – June 8, 2026 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky being 81-years old.  John was born in Georges Branch at Vicco, Kentucky the son of the late Earnest Feltner and the late Garnett Sumner Feltner.  Other than his parents, John was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber Nicole Feltner; brother, Bryan Feltner; sisters, Madlene Chaney, Carol Burgett, Marilyn Jones, Brenda Whalen and Kay Ritzi.  John enjoyed his westerns, gardening, hunting & fishing, but most of all he loved his family and cherished the time spent with his wife, children, and all the grandchildren.  John retired as a Deputy Jailer with the Perry County Jail.

John Feltner leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 62-years, Janice Feltner of Scuddy; daughter, Doris Jean Slone & Herman of Garner, KY; sons, Johnny Feltner & Tracy of Jeff, KY and Lonnie Feltner & Tracey of Acup, KY; sister, Earnestine Burgett of Sassafras, KY; seven grandchildren, Whitney Thacker & Nathan, Brandon Coghill & Laneisha, Miranda Phelps & Noah, Mishaela Smith & Seth, Nathaniel Feltner, Taylor Feltner and Landen Feltner; ten great-grandchildren, Branson, Adilyn, Lincoln, Chase, Zaden, Pacyn, Madisyn, Ellie, Lily, and Foster; also a host of many other relatives & friends also survives.

Funeral Services for John Feltner will be conducted on Friday – June 12, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Jody Everage and J.T. Eversole officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Scuddy Cemetery located at Scuddy, Kentucky with Brandon Coghill, Landen Feltner, Lonnie Feltner, Johnny Feltner, Seth Smith, Noah Phelps, Everett Feltner and Herman Slone serving as pallbearers.  The Visitation will be held on Thursday – June 11, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.
