Johnny Centers of Jenkins, formerly of Vicco, Kentucky born March 11, 1947 departed this life on Friday – October 3, 2025 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 78-years old.  Johnny was born in Vicco, Kentucky the son of the late Jasper Centers and the late Arthalee Sturgill Centers.  Other than his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by his grandson-in-law, Joe Caudill and a host of brothers & sisters.  Johnny was a former coal miner & logger, and was a very good mechanic as well.  Johnny was a Christian who loved the Lord and his family with all his heart.

Johnny Centers leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 56-years, Sandy Centers of Jenkins, KY; daughters, Johna Jo Smith of Jenkins and Jennifer Holland & Bobby of Hazard; three brothers, Wayne Centers of West Virginia, Roy Lee Centers of Texas, and Fred Lewis of Somerset; three sisters, Judy Mitchell, Wanda Bowling of West Virginia, and Rosie Gail of Ohio; grandchildren, Johnny Johnson & Brook of Jenkins, Ashley Johnson & Darin Sumner of Whitesburg, Charity Hall & Travis of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Keyerra Sumner, Braxton Johnson, Christian Johnson, Hezekiah Johnson, Gunner Smallwood, Peyton Johnson, Greyson Smallwood, Xavier Johnson, and Meredith Hall; also a host of many other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation for Johnny Centers will be on Sunday – October 5, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday – October 6, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Calvin Bates officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Centers Family Cemetery located at Colson, Kentucky.
