Johnny Darrell Johnson born March 20, 1965 departed this life on Wednesday – April 15, 2026 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 61-years old.  Johnny was born in Knott County the son of the late Joe Johnson and the late Bossie Jacobs Johnson.  Other than his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Kenneth Johnson; sister, Lovella Slone; brothers: Walter Johnson, Arvin Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Robert Johnson, Ardie Johnson and Jess Mosley; grandchildren: Gabrielle Johnson and Damon Johnson.  Johnny loved the time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and all family & friends.  He cherished his time going to church at Summit Community Church in Hazard, and was an avid listener to Billy Graham and his sermons.

Johnny Darrell Johnson leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife, Linda Gail Johnson; children: Amanda Gibson & Jason, Matt Johnson & Linda, Arvin Shane Johnson & Megan, and Dakota Richard Scott Johnson; siblings: Granville Johnson & Burniedean, Nadine Short & Clawson, and Tammy Slone; grandchildren: Jacqueline Wicker, Codel Wicker, MacKenzie Wicker, Zoey Cornett, Maddie Cornett, Gabriel Johnson, Brandy Neace, Landon Johnson, Kayden Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Stefan Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson, Zola Combs, Cameron Combs, Patrick Combs, Kendall Johnson, Peyton Johnson, Bryan Miniard, and Charity Miniard ; great grandchildren: Eliza Hall, Lainey Hall, Kamry Everage, Rynlee Feltner, Aubry Miniard, Callum Whitehead, and Lacey Whitehead; special nephew, John Shane Slone; special friends: Donald Neace, Don Smith, Boyd Fugate, Donald Handshoe, Donnie Fugate, Jerry Noble, Donald McPherson; also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Johnny Darrell Johnson will be conducted on Friday – April 17, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Combs officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Combs Cemetery located at Combs, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 2:00 P.M.
