Johnny Wayne Smith born August 12, 1967 departed this life on Friday – May 30, 2025 at his residence in Combs, Kentucky being 57-years old.  Johnny was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Alex Smith and the late Fern Louise Deaton.  Other than his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by his brother, James Earl Smith; sister, Nancy Shepherd and sister-in-law, Mary Moore.  Johnny enjoyed playing cornhole and shopping, he loved his job and the people he got to see daily, and had a passionate love for his dogs Smokey & Stitch.

Johnny Wayne Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: fiancé, Donna Hughes of Combs, KY; son, Brandon Smith of Combs, KY; sister-in-laws, Patty & Paula Stidham of Grapevine and Abbey Ritchie & Jeff of Hardburly; brother-in-law, Albert Lawson & Debbie of Vicco; special niece, Katie Shepherd; special cousin, Judy Collins; also a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation for Johnny Wayne Smith will be held on Tuesday – June 3, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will follow on Wednesday – June 4, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Joseph officiating.  Interment will follow in the Defiance Cemetery located at Happy, Kentucky.
