Joseph Kelly Smith born October 25, 1983 departed this life on Friday – January 2, 2026 being 42-years old.  Joe was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Phyllis Jean Sandlin Gwin and the late Billy Ray Smith.  Other than his father, Joe was also preceded in death by his Grandparents, Billy & Mae Smith.  Joe loved spending time with his kids, camping, fishing, and drawing.

Joseph Kelly Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Mother: Phyllis Jean Gwin of Grapevine; Step-Father: David Gwin of Grapevine; Sons: Damon Stidham and Maverick Stidham both of Grapevine; Best Friend & Mother of Children: Mirranda Stidham of Grapevine; Two Nieces: Eva Collins and Julie Collins both of Chavies; Aunt: Louise Baker of Buckhorn; Brother: Billy Ray Smith, Jr. of Chavies; Sister: Kathleen Smith & Chris Spice of Chavies; Cousins: Charlie Sizemore, Kelly Sandlin, B.J. Baker, Eddie Engle, and Rachel Sandlin; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Joseph Kelly Smith will be held on Friday – January 9, 2026 at the Gospel Light Baptist Church after 6:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday – January 10, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Gospel Light Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Fugate officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Sandlin Cemetery located at Buckhorn, Kentucky.
