Josie Sandlin born July 18, 1944 went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday November 3, 2024 at Paintsville A.R.H. being 80 years old. Josie was born in Clear Creek, Kentucky the daughter of the late Carue Ritchie and the late Martha Fugate Ritchie. Other than her parents, Josie was also preceded in death by her brothers & sisters, Elmer Ritchie, George Messer, Margie Ritchie, Oma Pridemore, Delia Ritchie, John B. Ritchie and Andy Ritchie. Josie was a Member of the Wabaco Pentecostal Church and loved gardening, flowers, cooking and spending time with her family.

Josie Sandlin leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: husband of 57 years, Robert Sandlin of Hazard; sons, Bobby Sandlin & Heather Lewis of Hazard, Andy Sandlin & Melissa of Hazard; sister, Bessie Ritchie of Hazard; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Sandlin of Morris Fork, KY, Lindsey Shepherd & Michael of Hazard, Landon Sandlin of Hazard; great-grandchildren, Laelyn Shepherd and Miles Shepherd. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Josie Sandlin will be held on Tuesday November 5, 2024 at the Wabaco Pentecostal Church after 6:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday November 6, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wabaco Pentecostal Church with Pastor Buddy Turner and Bill Caudill officiating. The Interment will follow in the Salyers Family Cemetery located at Hazard, Kentucky.
