Juanita Dawn Smith born January 25, 1929 departed this life on Monday May 30, 2022 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard being 93-years old. Juanita was born at Gays Creek, Kentucky the daughter of the late Willie West and the late Joy Riley West. Other than her parents, Juanita was also preceded in death by her Husband, Daily Smith; Two Grandchildren, Sandi Turner and Clinette Nicole Turner; Great Grandsons, Josh Turner and Steven Ottoson; Two Brothers, Willie Jr. West and "Tud" West; Sister, Wanda Riley. Juanita worked for Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park for 40 plus years and Loved Quilting, Gardening, and Enjoyed Cooking.

Juanita Dawn Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Son, John "Sonny" Smith of Gays Creek; Daughter, Delora Faye Turner of Gays Creek; Three Grandchildren, Vicki Turner, Clint Jr, Turner, Bridgette Turner; Twelve Great-Grandchildren, and Four Great-Great Grandchildren, A host of Nieces, Nephews, and other Relatives, Friends, and Neighbors survive.

Funeral Services for Juanita Dawn Smith will be conducted on Thursday June 2, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Johnson United Baptist Church with Gary Riley officiating. The Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery located at Buckhorn, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Johnson United Baptist Church at Buckhorn on Wednesday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. Anyone that wishes to wear a mask may do so.
