Karen Sue Shepherd born December 11, 1960 departed this life on Thursday November 30, 2023 at her residence in Cornettsville, Kentucky being 62-years old.   Sue was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Edward Griffith and the late Lois Boggs Griffith.  Other than her parents, Sue was also preceded in death by her husband, Hobalee Shepherd; daughter, Rebecca Shepherd; special sister, Donna Griffith; also a host of nieces, nephews, and aunts & uncles.  Sue loved to go fishing, gardening and canning, going to the races, and cherished every minute spent with her grandson.

Karen Sue Shepherd leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: son, Christopher Shepherd & Melissa of Cornettsville; grandson, Jason Lee Shepherd of Cornettsville; brothers, Robert Griffith of Viper and Roger Griffith & Lakitta of Cornettsville; brother-in-laws, Ottis Ray Shepherd & Diane of Cornettsville and Junior Shepherd of Cornettsville; also a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Karen Sue Shepherd will be conducted on Tuesday December 5, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor James Combs officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Arch Halcomb Cemetery located at Little Leatherwood, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. with an additional singing service to be held at 7:00 P.M.
