Katherine Campbell Brown born December 29, 1943 departed this life on Friday – July 3, 2026 in Hazard, Kentucky being 82-years old.  Katherine was born in Napfor, Kentucky the daughter of the late Steve Campbell and the late Martha Baker Campbell.  Other than her parents, Katherine was also preceded in death by her brothers, Taft, Steve Jr., Morris, Stewart (who was killed in military action), Robert, Edward, and Johnny Campbell; sisters, Serena Jackson, Malva Bowling, Louise LeMasters, and Rhoda Campbell; son-in-law, Paul Ensor.

Katherine was very active in her community, she was a member of the Krypton Fire Department, leader of the Girl Scouts and served as family support at the National Guard Armory in Hazard for many years.  Katherine was a member of the Krypton Brethren Church, where she loved attending church and fellowshipping with her church family.

Katherine Campbell Brown leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: husband of 59 plus years, Bobby Brown of Krypton, KY; son, Bobby Lee Brown, Jr. & wife Patricia of Lexington, KY; daughters, Jade Delana Ensor of Mt. Sterling, KY and Monica Campbell & husband Bill of Hazard, KY; brother, Harold Campbell of Columbus, OH; 13-grandchildren, 18-great grandchildren, 1-great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Katherine Campbell Brown will be conducted on Sunday – July 5, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Paul Sluss officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Bowling-Campbell Cemetery located at Meadowbranch.  The Visitation will be held at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bluegrass Care Navigators at 57 Dennis Sandlin MD Cove – Hazard, Kentucky 41701.
