Kencil Feltner born January 8, 1948, in Perry County to the late Mose "Spuds" Feltner and the late Edith Feltner.  Kencil departed this life and went to Heaven on Saturday – April 4, 2026.

Kencil was a dedicated coal miner who retired after more than 40 years of hard work and commitment.  He was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in fishing and hunting.  He also had a natural talent for fixing and repairing things, a hobby he truly enjoyed.  Above all, Kencil was a family man, he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and was known for his warm smile and joking sense of humor, no matter the occasion.

Kencil was preceded in death by his firstborn daughter, Kimberly Feltner; brother, Danny Feltner; sisters, Maude Feltner and Glenna Feltner.

Kencil is survived by his loving wife of 55-years, Patricia Feltner; daughter, LeAndra Richie & Eric; grandchildren: Tim Feltner & Ashley, Brandon Feltner & Kristina; and Kaia Johnson; great-grandchildren: Makinley Feltner, Nolan Feltner, and Alysa Feltner; also, a host of many other relatives & friends survive.

Kencil will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family and God will live on for generations to come.

Funeral Services for Kencil Feltner will be conducted on Tuesday – April 7, 2026, at 5:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Neace officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Fields Cemetery located at Couchtown Road in Busy, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M.  In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center at 101 Dennis Sandlin MD Cove – Hazard, Kentucky 41701.
