Kenneth Bruce Blair, II, 60 passed away on the evening of January 9th, 2025 due to a series of medical complications. Bruce passed peacefully and was surrounded by his family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, and father.
Bruce was born on July 3, 1964 in Louisville, Kentucky, and was a graduate of Western Branch High School (1982) and Old Dominion University (1987). During his student days, he was an avid athlete who excelled in track and basketball. In his later life, Bruce continued his passion for athletics as a talented golfer who took pride in his Hole in One he scored at Nansemond River Golf Club in 2006. Bruce worked for much of his career as a Human Resources Benefits Coordinator and helped many educators and civil servants across the tidewater area receive their well-earned benefits at all stages of their careers. He also spent several years at Pine Branch Coal Sales in Chavies, Kentucky with his father and brother. In his personal life, Bruce enjoyed many things. He was an appreciator of music and film, and loved to share his vast catalogue with family and friends, as well as sharing his charisma on countless karaoke stages.
He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth Bruce Blair. Bruce is survived by his mother Linda Blair, his brother, Brian Blair and his family, his wife of thirty-seven years Carol Ann Blair, his sons, Bradley Harrison Blair and wife Danielle, and Brian Thomas Blair. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.
Visitation for Kenneth Bruce Blair, II will be conducted on Saturday January 18, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday January 18, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastors Tim Reynolds and Simmie Ray Bowling officiating. A Private Burial will take place at the Redhill Cemetery located at Chavies, Kentucky.
