Kirby L. Combs, Jr. born September 16, 1948 departed this life on Thursday December 21, 2023 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 75-years old.  Kirby was born in Christopher, Kentucky the son of the late Kirby Lane Combs, Sr. and the late Clara Combs.  Other than his parents, Kirby was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Combs and Step-Son, Derrick Craft.  Kirby was a U.S. Air Force Veteran where he worked as a Military Police.  Kirby was very proud and honored to serve his country, by occupation he was a retired coal miner, loved his dog Bella, camping, fishing, and was a gentleman to all.

Kirby L. Combs, Jr. leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: sons, Kirby Herman "Ben" Combs of Hazard and David Combs & Jacqueline of Hazard; grandchildren, Christopher Combs, Zachary Combs, and Cameron Combs; sisters, Diane Kronemeyer & Kelly of Christopher, Gail Colwell of Hazard, Dina Campbell & Don of Florida, Charlene Dunsil of Lexington, KY, Teresa Gross & Claymon of Hazard, Mary Carol Joseph & Robert III of Christopher, and Connie Combs of Christopher; also a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

There will be a Graveside Service for Kirby L. Combs, Jr. conducted on Saturday December 23, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Resthaven Cemetery located at Jeff, Kentucky with Hershel Dixon officiating and Military Rites to be performed by the Hazard-Perry County D.A.V. Chapter #64.
