Larry Akers born August 29, 1947 departed this life on Sunday March 19, 2023 at his residence in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky being 75-years old. Larry was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Dillard Akers and the late Rosa Lee Lewis Akers. Other than his Parents, Larry was also preceded in death by his Siblings, Walter Akers, Eddie Akers, and Sammy Akers; Beloved Best Friend, Beano. Larry was a gun retailer and gun enthusiast. Larry was very athletic and loved to hike, hunt & fish, and go water skiing, four wheeling and Motorcycles. He was very dedicated to his high school years as an Athlete at Dilce Combs High School and was very dedicated to his family.

Larry Akers leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife of 20-years, Tina Akers; Loving Father to Tammy Cook Akers and Daniel Akers; He was blessed with Three Grandsons, Anthony Cook & Megan, Joshua Cook & Daniella, Justin Akers; Six Great-Grandsons, Colton, Jordan, Isaac, Samson, Ethan, and Jonah Cook; Special Mother-In-Law, Faith Garland; Man's Best Friend, Valentine. A host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Larry Akers will be conducted on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Johnie Akers officiating. The Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery located at Jeff, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 till 3:00 P.M.
