Lawrence Shell born March 4, 1935 departed this life on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at his residence in Viper, Kentucky being 89-years old. Lawrence was born in Daisy, Kentucky the son of the late Charlie Shell and the late Cora Coots Shell. Other than his parents, Lawrence was also preceded in death by his wife, Judith Shell; brothers, Ray Shell and Walter Shell; nieces and nephews. Lawrence was a Member of the Rogers Branch Church of Christ, Vicco Masonic Lodge #929. Lawrence had a love for children and enjoyed fishing, gardening, working, eating and being outdoors.

Lawrence Shell leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: sister, Vernia McIntyre & Jack of Viper; sister-in-law, Donetta Shell of Phyllis, KY; Brother, Ellis Shell & Rebecca of Dayton, OH; special friends, Judy Ann Eldridge, Merle & Jonia Lewis and family; raised as a son, Marcus Barrett; granddaughter, Mahayla Barrett. A host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends survive.

Visitation for Lawrence Shell will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024 at the Engle Bowling Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M. Funeral Services will follow at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Saturday at 12:00 P.M. with Karl Baker, Bud Farler and Andrew Lewis officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Daniels Cemetery at Happy, Kentucky. Military Rites will be performed by the Hazard-Perry County D.A.V. Chapter #64.
