Lena Holland Bishop born May 19, 1953 went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 7, 2024 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 71-years old. Lena was born in Bear Branch, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jim Holland and the late Sophia Bowling Holland. Other than her parents, Lena was also preceded in death by brothers, Denver Holland & Thelma, Ed Holland & Jean. Lena was a Retired Registered Nurse, a Member of the Hyden Church of God and loved spending time with her sister and family.

Lena Holland Bishop leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: son, David Scott Hawkins & Tabitha of Bear Branch, KY; brother, Kenneth Holland & Bernett of Manchester, KY; sister, Oda Ledford of Middletown, OH; grandchildren, Damien Hawkins of Bear Branch, Alexis Hawkins of Bear Branch. A host of Church Family and other relatives and friends survive. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers, Eddie Spurlock, Doug Couch, Leroy Couch and Logan Wayne Bowling. Active Pallbearers, Tanner Spurlock, Preston Spurlock, Damien Hawkins, Tayton Asher, Travis Beckner and Jacob Beckner.

Visitation for Lena Holland Bishop will be conducted on Friday August 9, 2024 at the Hyden Church of God from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hyden Church of God with Pastor Logan Wayne Bowling officiating. The Interment will follow in the Jim Holland Cemetery located in Bear Branch, Kentucky.
