Leon Dwight Colwell born September 17, 1976 departed this life on Thursday October 27, 2022 at the Whitesburg A.R.H. being 46-years old. Leon was born at Hazard, Kentucky and was preceded in death by his daughter, Kymber Sines. Leon loved spending time with his dogs and grandchildren.

Leon Dwight Colwell leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife, Sandra Colwell of Johnson City, TN; Parents, Leon Hicks Colwell and Rebecca Mae Combs Colwell of Viper; Son, Jacob Colwell & Kayla of Hazard; Daughter, Arielle Colwell of Hazard; Sister, Kasie Jones & Clay of Viper; Niece, Kyleigh Terry; Three Grandchildren, Zane Colwell, Veia Colwell, and Irys Colwell; Step-Granddaughter, Aleyna Chandler; Two Special Cousins, Rebecca Hagan and Jonathan Feltner. A host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Leon Dwight Colwell will be conducted on Sunday October 30, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. B.J. Campbell officiating. The Interment will follow in the Elijah Combs Cemetery located at Viper, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M.
