Linda "Granny" Feltner, of Hazard, Kentucky, passed away on February 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family she faithfully cared for throughout her life. From the Sunday School classroom to the hospital telemetry floor, Linda lived a life defined by service. Known by her ARH coworkers as "Granny," she cared for patients, family, church members, and friends with patience, prayer, steady hands, and a deeply unselfish heart. Her faith guided everything she did, and her life was a quiet testimony of compassion, strength, and devotion to caring for others. Born on March 2, 1947, in Bulan, Kentucky, to the late John Henry and Cena Childers, Linda was one of nine siblings whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Feltner; her sisters Mary Jones, Rausie Smith, and Eola Cochran; and her brothers Ben Ritchie, Marcus Ritchie, Vilas Ritchie, Troy Childers, and John Henry Childers. She is survived by her sister Shirley Yancey of Indiana. Linda's greatest joy was found in her family. She and her husband Wayne shared 37 years of marriage filled with laughter, family dinners, birthday celebrations, and countless cherished memories. She leaves behind her two daughters and sons-in-law, Cena Whitaker (Jeffrey Brandon) and Jama Griffie (Renis); her grandchildren Kara Cox (Ryan), Hunter Griffie, Austin Stacy, and Chelsea Stacy; and her great-grandson, Kellen Tate Cox, all of Hazard, Kentucky, and a host of nieces and nephews. A faithful member of Wabaco Pentecostal Church, Linda served as a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years, lovingly teaching and praying for generations of children. Her ministry extended far beyond the church walls, as she devoted her life to caring for family members, friends, and anyone in need of comfort, encouragement, or prayer. Linda's life was a reflection of her calling to serve. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of compassion, faith, and caregiving will live on in all those whose lives she touched.

Visitation for Linda Feltner will be held on Thursday February  26, 2026 at the Wabaco Pentecostal Church after 5:00 P.M.to 9:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday February  27, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wabaco Pentecostal Church with Pastor Buddy Turner and Terry Joseph  officiating. The Interment will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery South East located at Hyden, Kentucky.
