Linda C. Whitt born April 9, 1944 in Covington, Kentucky departed this life on Friday – October 23, 2026 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 82-years old. Linda was the daughter of the late Charles McIntosh and the late Sarena Campbell McIntosh. Other than her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry & Sophia Frost McIntosh and Woolery & Malvie Milam Campbell; son & daughter-in-law, Wesley & Kimberly Baker Whitt; bonus son, Mickey Bailey; grandson, Christopher Eric Whitt; sisters, Peggy Morgan and Mattie Couch; nieces & nephews, Teresa Marten, Sherri & Jason Christie, Brittani Gossett, Holden, Cole, and Kendall Christie.

Linda was a retired school teacher for the Perry County School System, having taught 35 years total, and the last 31 were at Dennis C. Wooton Elementary. Linda liked working with family genealogy and making DVD movies for family & friends.

Marlowe & Jennifer Akers Marlowe of Hazard, KY; bonus daughter-in-law, Sue Day Bailey of Hamilton, OH; grandchildren, Courteney Marlowe & Curtis Kilgore of Duffield, VA, Candace Marlowe & Charles Baker of Hazard, KY, Vicky Akers of Morehead, KY; 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; goddaughter, Sevan Owens Campbell of Alabama; nieces & nephews, Angela Couch Cross of Knoxville, TN, Lesley Couch & Tom Hoagwood of Nashville, TN and Kurt Marten of Wichita Falls, TX; great nieces & nephews to great great nieces & nephews, Sean Cross & Kyle Cross of TN, Christina, Brendan, Harlow Joy, and Elias Marten Bell; Caroline & Chad Garrett; Charles & Amanda Harlow; Jessica Harlow; Dillon Gellner, Audrey Gellner, Gavin Gellner and son Ryan all of Texas; special friends: Phil Brown, Doug Campbell, IB Campbell, Anthony & Shane Day, Diane Mastin, Bonnie Stacy, Lavonne Spurlock, and the DCW lunch bunch, and many other family & friends survive.

Visitation for Linda C. Whitt will be held on Thursday – October 29, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home form 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Funeral Services will follow on Thursday – October 29, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Pastor Karen Campbell officiating. The Interment will follow in the Woodson Gut Cemetery located at Napfor, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greg & Noreen Wells Bluegrass Hospice Care Center at 101 Dennis Sandlin MD Cove – Hazard, Kentucky 41701.
