Lisa Jean Henson born December 18, 1965 departed this life on Monday – March 17, 2025 at her residence in Hazard, Kentucky being 59-years old.  Lisa was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Denver Sims and the late Jeannie Sims.  Other than her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Henson, and mother-in-law, Francis Henson.

Lisa had a passion for working in special education as a Paraeducator, in which she had done for a total of 31-years.

Lisa Jean Henson leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: daughters, Sabrina Henson, Brianna Henson & Nick, and Jennifer Asher & Blue all of Hazard, KY; brother, D.J. Sims & Megan of Corbin, KY; sisters, Teresa Woolum of Hazard and Cissy Fields of Hazard, KY; grandchildren, Dakota Blue Asher, Brody Combs, Weston Asher, Jaxon Vanover, Deklan Vanover, Memphis Asher, Oaklynn Vanover, Maryilyn Caudill, and Addie Caudill; special friends, Angie Joseph, April Napier, and Pamela Henson; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Lisa Jean Henson will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00-9:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 12: OO P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Willie Henson officiating. The Internment will follow in the White Valley Cemetery located at Dice, Kentucky.
