Mabel C. Wells born November 3, 1926 departed this life on Thursday October 17, 2024 being 97-years old.  Mabel was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Lane Fields and the late Lucy Hamilton Fields.  Other than her parents, Mabel was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wells; son, Willis Ray Campbell; brothers, Dock Fields and Billy Ray Fields; sisters, Sarah Combs and Bertha Eversole.  Mabel was a member of the Viper Community Baptist Church where she loved serving her Lord and Savior.

Mabel C. Wells leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: son, Eugene Campbell & Billie Sue of Louisville, Kentucky; daughters, Wilma Sizemore of Brownsfork and Karen Smith of Big Creek, Kentucky; grandchildren, Brent Campbell, Kim Roper, Willis Ray Campbell, Jr., Pam Combs, Tammy Gayheart, Bridgette Brown, Megan Smith, and Luellen Begley; 8-great-grandchildren, 4-great great grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Mabel C. Wells will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Donnie Oliver officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery located at Hazard, Kentucky.
