Mack Southwood born July 9, 1955 departed this life on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 67-years old. Mack was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late McCager Southwood and the late Virginia Lee Deaton Southwood. Other than his parents, Mack was also preceded in death by Brothers, Ronnie Southwood and Ira Southwood; Niece, Rebecca Coomer; Nephews, Timothy Porter, Jaden Miller, Ricky Porter, McCager Porter and Ricky Lee Porter; Brother-In-Laws, Leon Porter, Paul Brown, and Albert Kilburn. Mack was a retired coal miner, avid horse trainer, blacksmith, and loved the outdoors & hunting.

Mack Southwood leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife of 48-years, Cindy Southwood of Hazard, KY; Son, MacCager Southwood & Tina of Hazard, KY; Daugthers, Virginia Ramsey & Joey of Whitesburg, KY and Sarah Southwood & Rick of Hazard, KY; Brother, Jimmy Southwood of Jackson, KY; Sisters, Sarah Murray & Darrell of Happy, KY and Edna Porter of Scottsburg, IN; Grandchildren, Kyle Deaton & Michaela, Brooklyn Deaton & Daquis Robertson, Colton Southwood & Clarissa, Cody Southwood, Craigen Southwood, Tiffany Newberry, Dillon Newberry & Lydia White, Skyler Newberry, Briana Profitt, and Jacob Ramsey; Great Grandchildren, Kingston Jewell, Merideth Profitt, and two on the way; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Mack Southwood will be conducted on Sunday May 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Kyle Deaton and James Lucas officiating. The Interment will follow in the Combs Cemetery at Combs, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday from 11:00 – 1:00.
