Margaret "Marge" Brashear born September 20, 1939 departed this life on Wednesday March 6, 2024 at her daughter's residence in Corbin, Kentucky being 84-years old.  Margaret was born in Kenmont-Jeff, Kentucky the daughter of the late Rolie Hamons and the late Sitha Smith Hamons.  Other than her parents, Marge was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Brashear and son, Dana "Danny" Brashear.  Marge loved her family and being outside in the sunshine.  Marge loved her beloved dog dearly, a Chinese Crested named Cilla.

Margaret "Marge" Brashear leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: daughters, Marsha Clontz & Stanley of Corbin, KY and Carla Pence & Larry of Hazard, KY; five grandchildren, Jason Brashear of Hazard, Robin Combs of Garner, Dana Hall & Ronnie of Garner, Chris Pence & Bonnie of Lost Creek, and Sam Pence of Viper; six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, daughter-in-laws, Debbie Combs and Linda Combs Hays; special friends, Ms. Dunn, Robby Crutcher, Rita Crutcher, Andrew Crutcher, Victor Crutcher, and Louise Johnson; also a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Bluegrass Care Navigators of Laurel County.

Visitation for Margaret "Marge" Brashear will be held on Sunday March 10, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Mark Combs officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Tutt-Rose Cemetery located at Campton, Kentucky.
