Margaret Abrams Dixon born March 17, 1935 departed this life on Saturday – May 9, 2026 being 91-years old.  Margaret was born in Perry County, Kentucky the daughter of the late William Abrams and the late Mary Vanderpool Abrams.  Other than her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Dixon; brothers, Herman Abrams and Jack Dempsey Abrams; sisters, Lillian Landin and Naomi Burrows; grandson, Brandon Elmer Dixon; special friend, Lucille Stacy.

Margaret was a homemaker and devout Christian who loved the Lord.  She Cherished her family, as they did her as well.  Margaret loved flowers, visiting her friends when she was able, and loved to sing about Jesus.

Margaret Abrams Dixon leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: sons, Hershel Dixon, Jr. & wife Sandra of Christopher, KY and Harold Dixon of Hazard, KY; grandchildren, Shane Dixon & Kristen of Christopher, KY and Christopher Dixon & Kayla of Pikeville, KY; great-grandchildren, Dallin Dixon, Zoey Dixon, and Cameron Dixon; special niece, Marsha Landin Fugate and sons, David & Larry; also a host of many other relatives & friends survive.  The Family would like to thank the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center for their genuine care and support they provided for Margaret and the love & compassion they showed towards her family.

Funeral Services for Margaret Abrams Dixon will be conducted on Wednesday – May 13, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Carl Wayne Johnson officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Balis Napier Cemetery located at Lotts Creek, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.
