Margaret Holland Kelly born August 2, 1940 departed this life on Saturday July 27, 2024 at the Hyden Health & Rehab Center in Hyden, Kentucky being 83 years old. Margaret was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Doc Holland and the late Mary Holland. Other than her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, Abel Kelly; sons, Beecher Holland and Jesse Holland; daughters, Rachel Faye Holland and Alice Faye Holland; brothers, Sam, Burton, Bryan, Rance, and three infant brothers; sisters, Ollie Mae, Samantha and Lina. Margaret was of the Pentecostal Faith, loved to Garden and was a dedicated homemaker.

Margaret Holland Kelly leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: sons, Sherl Wayne Kelly of Yeaddiss, KY, Rufus Kelly of Yeaddiss, KY; daughter, Donna Day of Yeaddiss, KY; brother, General Holland of Lotts Creek, KY; granddaughter, Abbie Ann; great-grandchildren, Katie, Allie, Lucy and Macie; Niece, Pamela Melton; Special Cat, Baby. A host of other relatives and friends survive. The Family wishes to offer a Special Thanks to the Hyden Health & Rehabilitation Center for providing such great care and also to the First Responders of Leslie County that have assisted.

Visitation for Margaret Holland Kelly will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 1, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Clayton Stacy and Christopher Kilbourne officiating. The Interment will follow in the Bush Cemetery located at Pigeon Roost, Kentucky.
