Mark Anthony "LoLo" Lopez born October 17, 1965 departed this life on December 14, 2025 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky being 60-years old.  Mark was born in Chicago, Illinois the son of Donna Dean Lopez and the late Pete Garcia Lopez.  Other than his father, Mark was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Russell Bailey.

Mark was a 1984 graduate of Hazard High School, 1988 Graduate of the Kentucky State Police Academy Cadet Class #66.  Along with being a Kentucky State Trooper, Mark had also worked as a coal miner, finance manager and was a retired business owner.  Mark was an avid Harley-Davidson owner and was a proud supporter of the Highwaymen Motorcycle Club.  Mark had a passion for English Bulldogs, he lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed the journey along the way.  Mark and Sherry stood by one another through their 45 years, and together they built a loving family, as he was a very proud & loving father and grandfather.

Mark Anthony "LoLo" Lopez leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Wife: Sherry Bailey-Lopez of Prestonsburg, KY; Children: Angela Lopez-Coots & James of Lexington, KY and Michael Tyler Lopez & Amy of Brookwood, Alabama; Mother: Donna Dean Lopez of Big Creek, KY; Brother: Peter Dean Lopez of Big Creek, KY; Mother-In-Law: Brenda Davis Bailey of Hazard, KY; Grandchildren: Cameron Bryce Coots, Colton Brody Coots, and Asher Michael Lopez; also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation for Mark Anthony "LoLo" Lopez will be held on Friday December 19, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 P.M.
