Marvin Colwell born March 16, 1953 departed this life on Thursday March 13, 2025 at his residence in Busy, Kentucky being 71-years old.  Marvin was born in Busy, Kentucky the son of the late Burley Colwell and the late Lora Baker Colwell.  Other than his parents, wife, Irene Colwell; daughters, Vicky Hughes and Etta Wooton; two sisters, Blanche Campbell and Bess Feltner; three brothers, Roland Colwell, Burley Jr., Colwell, and Ed Colwell.  Marvin was a hard worker, he was a coal miner for many years.  Marvin loved his animals and tending to them, but most of all loved having his family around for dinners and spending time together.

Marvin Colwell leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory:  daughters, Margaret Colwell & Al Collins of Busy, KY and Nancy Bailey & Wayne of Busy, KY; sister, Mildred Morris of Winchester, KY; brothers, Roger Colwell & Robin of Ohio, Lindon Colwell & Becky of Couchtown, Pearl Colwell & Carolyn of Grapevine, and A.C. Colwell of Grassy, KY; 13-grandchildren, Eric, Sallie Ann, Josh, Roxanne, Wesley, Austin, Rebecca, Abbie, Renee, Ashley, Tony, Brittany, and Marvin; 13-great grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Marvin Colwell will be held on Monday – March 17, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  The Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday – March 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Jonathan Lowry officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Feltner-Colwell Cemetery located at Busy, Kentucky.
