Mary Rose Jones born October 1, 1960 departed this life on Friday March 10, 2023 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 62-years old.  Mary Rose was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of Shelby Jean Gay and the late James Couch.  Other than her father, Mary Rose was also preceded in death by her Brother and best friend, Greg Couch; Special friends, Sonya Jones, Kelvin North and Randy Leveridge.

Mary spent her younger years working at LaCitadelle, the Rock Steady and Hillbilly Palace.  She devoted her last years of life taking care of her family.  She loved being outdoors and most enjoyed her time with her great-grandson Hunter, he was her pride and joy.  Mary was a blessing to those who were given the chance to know her and she will be greatly missed.

Mary Rose Jones leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Mother, Shelby Jean Gay of Chavies, KY; Daughter, Stephanie Jones of Hazard, KY; Two Grandchildren, Sydney Brewer of Fisty, KY and Phillip Fuller of Wooton, KY; Great-Grandson who was the light of her life, Hunter Owens; Great Niece and name sake, Riley Rose Davis; Four Sisters, Loretta Deaton & Kenny of Nicholasville, KY, Rosetta Dickerson of Chavies, Clearsie Feltner & Chuck of Bonnyman, Teresa Davidson of Chavies; Special Sister, Katie Couch of Chavies; Three Brothers, Bill Gay & Tonya of Ary, Johnny Gay of Chavies, and Lonnie Gay & Lisa of Rowdy; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

There will be a Visitation for Mary Rose Jones on Monday March 13, 2023 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.  The Interment will follow later in the Jones Cemetery at Memory Mountain in Dwarf, Kentucky.
