Maudie Ritchie born December 21, 1955 departed this life on Tuesday September 17, 2024 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 68-years old. Maudie was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Waldon Salyers and the late Mayme Marshall Salyers. Other than her parents, Maudie was also preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Joe Farris, Lois Jean Johnston, Waldon Salyers, Jr., Shirley Dorsey, Phyllis Dorsey, George Warren Salyers and Paul Wayne Salyers. Maudie was a Member of The 11th Hour Worship Center and loved going to church, crafting, gardening, flowers and bird watching. Maudie also loved spending time with her family.

Maudie Ritchie leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: husband of 46-years, Lamarr Ritchie of Hazard; daughters, Shannon Young & Chris of Hazard, Rebecca Suzanne Adams & Wayne of Lotts Creek; son, Jody Ritchie of Jenkins, KY; siblings, Mary Jane Way of Geneva, OH, Tommy Salyers of Geneva, OH, Virgie Davis of Geneva, OH, Pauletta Deaton of Buckhorn, Billy Ray Salyers of Hazard, Edna Mae Grimmett of Geneva, OH; grandchildren, Cody Allen Ritchie & Ashley, Briana Faith Young, Ashleigh Hope Young and Keith Wayne Adams. A host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Maudie Ritchie will be held on Sunday September 22, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 1:00 till 3:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday September 22, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Terry Joseph and Buddy Turner officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Salyers Family Cemetery located at Hazard, Kentucky.
