Mavis Stidham "Gan-Gan" born May 28, 1952 departed this life on Wednesday June 14, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky being 71-years old.  Mavis was born in Perry County the daughter of the late Boyd & Bonnie Marie Cornett.  Other than her parents, Mavis was also preceded in death by a host of Brothers & Sisters.  Mavis loved four wheeling and painting, as she was known as the Rock Lady by many in Leatherwood.  Mavis also loved all animals and being outdoors.

Mavis Stidham leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Husband of 54-years, Billy Stidham of Slemp, KY; Two Daughters, Jeanetta Sue Campbell & Mike of Slemp and Teresa Lynn Caudill of Slemp; Two Brothers, Mick Cornett of Danville, KY and Franklin Cornett of Delphia, KY; Sister, Avis Cornett of Danville, KY; Grandchildren, Christie Hollins & Matt Buell of Slemp, Ben Caudill of Hazard, and Bekah Caudill & Kirby Whitaker of Lexington, KY; Great-Grandchildren, Alex Combs of Slemp and Jadie Combs of Slemp; also a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Mavis "Gan-Gan" Stidham will be held on Friday June 16, 2023 at the Big Leatherwood First Baptist Church after 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday June 17, 2023 from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. with a private burial to follow in the Stidham Family Cemetery.
