Melissa Coots Holbrook born March 16, 1964 departed this life on Thursday August 28, 2025 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center being 61-years old.  Melissa was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Wilson & Naomi Coots.  Other than her parents, Melissa was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester Holbrook.  Melissa loved going to the beach, and she enjoyed hunting and collecting the sea shells.  Melissa loved her time with family and cherished each second spent with her grand babies.

Melissa Coots Holbrook leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: loving children, Jessica Foutch & Jimmy of Cumberland, KY and Chester O'Neal Holbrook & Opal of Lynch, KY; five grandchildren, Nicholas (special grandson) who she helped raise. They bonded the moment he was born, and just grew stronger every day. They were "partners in crime " and always looking for an adventure. Whether it was going for a walk or riding the side by side, where one was, the other was very close by, Sajen, Colton, Klaya, and Mason she adored each one and was very active in every aspect of their lives. From ballgames and dances to dr appointments. Always had a listening ear and a warm hug ready; daughter, Mallie Ann Roark & Ron of Ohio; loving dog, Lilly; also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation for Melissa Coots Holbrook will be held on Monday – September 1, 2025 at the Rogers Branch Church of Christ at Viper, Kentucky after 5:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday – September 2, 2025 at the Rogers Branch Church of Christ at 1:00 P.M.  The Interment will follow in the Family Cemetery located at Cumberland, Kentucky.
