Baby Nova Reign Sherrod departed this life on Tuesday – May 5, 2026 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky.  Nova was the daughter of LaKota Wilson and Jasmine Sherrod.  Nova was preceded in death by her brother, Baby Chris; cousin, Baby James; great-grandfather, George Wright and grandfather, Michael Trent.

Nova Reign Sherrod leaves the following relatives surviving: parents, Lakota Wilson and Jasmine Sherrod; grandmothers, Crystal Sherrod and L.J. Wilson; great-grandmother, Patricia Reynolds; great-great-grandmother, Moonyine Wright;  two brothers, Michael Sherrod and Nicholas Sherrod; sister, Amethyst Sherrod; aunts, Sheyenne Mattingly and Sierra Sherrod; uncles, James Sherrod & Jessica and Timothy Sherrod; also a host of other relatives survives.

Funeral Services for Baby Nova Reign Sherrod will be conducted on Saturday – May 9, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Rogers Branch Church of Christ at Viper, Kentucky.  The Interment will follow in the Brashear Family Cemetery located at Cornettsville, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Rogers Branch Church of Christ on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.
