Patty
Cornette
Jan 15, 1933 — Nov 27, 2025
Patty Cornette, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on January 15, 1933, Patty grew into a woman whose warm spirit and boundless kindness touched every life she encountered.
A devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Hazard, KY, Patty lived her faith daily through her generosity, compassion, and unshakable love for others. She truly never met a stranger—her welcoming heart and radiant smile made everyone feel seen, valued, and at home. To know her was to love her, and countless people were blessed by the light she carried so effortlessly.
Patty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Cornette; her son, Allen Cornette; and her daughter, Kim Cornette. Though she endured profound loss, she continued to share strength, warmth, and grace with everyone around her.
She leaves behind a family who adored her deeply: her daughter Jamie Nucci (Donnie), her son Greg Cornette (Julie), five cherished grandchildren—Kim (Rick), Shannon (Greg), Anthony (Tracy), Megan (Corey), and Ashley—and five precious great-grandchildren: Jacob, Kip, Jordan, Cale, and Cedar. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and the lessons she instilled through her love.
Known for her joyful energy and her love of being "on the go," Patty embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude. Whether visiting with friends, spending time with family, or taking part in church activities, she faced each day with a smile and a generous heart.
Loved by so many, Patty leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and unwavering love. Though she has gone home to be with the Lord, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in her beautiful journey.
May her smile continue to shine through those she touched, and may her gentle spirit live on in the stories, laughter, and love she leaves behind.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
