Peggy Delynn Hall, age 79, of Viper, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
She was born November 16, 1946, in Viper, Kentucky, to Fred and Eartha Hall. Retired from ARH as a clerk typist, Peggy loved books-the Bible being her favorite read, music-Elvis being at the top of the list, cooking-known for sauerkraut balls at holiday gatherings, and playing games-rook, scrabble, aggravation, and set back to name a few. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends making memories and reminiscing, gathering in hard and good times, always together in love and relationship. Peggy was the anchor. Her compassion and lived experience allowed grace and strength to moor us all in love, faith, surrender, and hope. She brought the light of Christ to every moment and every heart.
Preceded in death by her parents, daughter Elizabeth Hall, brothers Frank Hall and Roger Hall, brother-in-law Herman Hall, and very special uncle Wade “Dub” Campbell, Peggy is survived by daughter Heather Hall, sister Carolyn Hall, a host of beloved nieces and nephews, and her favorite animal buddies Wyn and Dash.
Arrangements: Saturday, October 10, 2026. Engle Bowling Funeral Home, Hazard, Kentucky. Visitation 11am -1pm, Service 1pm.
Honorary Pallbearers are Matt Hall, Jacob Hall, Nick Short, Zachary Hall, Brian Cook, Brandon Rice, Luke Cook, and Ethan Rice.
Family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff at Hazard Health and Rehab and Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center for their compassionate and kind care.
