Phyllis Dorsey born May 26, 1951 departed this life on Saturday April 8, 2023 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 71-years old.  Phyllis was born in Hazard, Kentucky the daughter of the late Walden Salyers and the late Mayme Marshall Salyers.  Other than her parents, Phyllis was also preceded in death by her Husband, William Dorsey; Brother, Walden Salyers, Jr. and Three Sisters, Lois Johnston, Shirley Dorsey and Betty Farris.  Phyllis had worked for the City of Hazard at the Pavillion for over 20 years.

Phyllis Dorsey leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Four Sons, David Smith of San Antonio, Texas, Danny Smith of Roanoke, Louisiana, Tony Smith of Hazard, KY and James Brewer of Hazard, KY; Two Brothers, Billy Ray Salyers of Hazard, KY and Tommy Salyers of Geneva, Ohio; Five Sisters, Edna Grimmett of Geneva, Ohio, Virgie Davis of Geneva, Ohio, Maudie Ritchie of Hazard, Pauletta Deaton of Buckhorn, KY and Mary Jane Way of Geneva, Ohio; 9-Grandchildren, 10-Great Grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Phyllis Dorsey will be conducted on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Chris Fugate officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery located at Hazard, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
