Raymond "Peter Rabbit" Griffie born February 18, 1942 departed this life on Friday – April 18, 2025 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 83-years old.  Raymond was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Birchel Griffie and the late Victoria Bowling Griffie.  Other than his parents, Raymond was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Dobson Griffie; grandsons, Mick Crawford and Christopher Griffie; brothers, Bert Griffie and Carl Griffie; sister, Martha Wall.

Raymond loved to hunt & fish, and working with his bee's.  He started working for Starfire in 1971 and continued in the mining business for 41-years till 2012.  Raymond was a member of the Blair Memorial Baptist Church.

Raymond "Peter Rabbit" Griffie leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: daughter, Ronda Crawford & David of Lost Creek; son, Glenn Griffie & Sherri of Lost Creek; longtime companion, Ann Cornett of Lost Creek; bonus daughter, Anna Cornett of Hazard; brother, Larry Griffie of Lost Creek; sister, Rosa Huff of Miamisburg, OH; special grandson, Stevie Combs, grandchildren, Austin Combs, Rachel Crawford & Michael, Gabe Griffie, Waylon "little man" Griffie, Andrea Combs, Alex Combs, Ryleigh Jones, Aiden Jones; special nieces, Sondra Pollard and Amber Boffo; special nephew, Ronald Griffie; also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation for Raymond "Peter Rabbit" Griffie will be conducted on Monday – April 21, 2025 at the Blair Memorial Baptist Church at Lost Creek, Kentucky after 6:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday – April 22, 2025 at the Blair Memorial Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Joe Engle officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Griffie Cemetery located at Lost Creek, Kentucky.
