It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Reda Williams Lewis, who passed away peacefully at her home on May 4, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Mimia Shepherd; her husband, Roger Lewis; her brothers, Lenvel Shepherd and Prentiss Shepherd; and her sister, Veda Smith.

She leaves behind her loving family, including her son, Matthew Couch (Amy); her special friend, Rick Fugate; her brothers, Arko Shepherd (Lois) and Leonard Shepherd (Bonnie); her sister, Maggie Whitaker; and her sister-in-law, Genice Shepherd. She was a proud grandmother to Krista Hampton (Stephen), Jennifer Caudill (BJ), Dylan Campbell (Haley), and Caden Couch, and a cherished great-grandmother to Addison Hampton and Sawyer Caudill. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Reda had a special love for her animals, who brought her comfort, companionship, and joy throughout her life.

Honoring her wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

She will be remembered for her warm smile, caring heart, fiery personality, and sharp sense of sarcasm that could make anyone laugh.
