Richard Caudill born March 7, 1938 departed this life on Friday – February 20, 2026 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 87-years old.  Richard was born in Viper, Kentucky the son of the late Irvin Caudill and the late Mattie Caudill.  Other than his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by his brothers: Ralph, Ray, and Raymond; sisters, Inez Hopper, Gladys Caudill, and Lena Ison.

Richard leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife of 58 years Janice Caudill; two sons, Lloyd Caudill, and Jimmy Caudill(Katie); daughter, Jennifer Goode(Bill); sisters, Dorthy Brashear, Francis Ann Frazier (Marion), Patsey Eversole (Lynn); grandchildren, Brittney Cody, Matthew Caudill, Blake Dean, Autumn Hardwick, Carson Caudill; great grandchildren, Chrisley Cody, Elijah Cody, Oakley Hardwick, and Pierce Combs; and other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral Services for Richard Caudill will be conducted on Monday – February 23, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Bud Farler officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Caudill Family Cemetery located at Viper, Kentucky.  The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Monday from 12 :00 –1:00 P.M
