Richard Paul Metzner born February 20, 1966, departed this life on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at his residence in Hazard, Kentucky, being 59-years old. Richard was born at Spring Valley, New York, the son of the late Johannes Metzner and Elizabeth Metzner.  Other than his father, Richard was also preceded in death by his niece, Elizabeth Crook. Richard was passionate about his religion and a member of the Willow Fern Baptist Church.

Richard Paul Metzner leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: mother, Elizabeth Metzner of New Jersey; sister, Diane Crook & Ronny of Florida; nephew, Nicholas Crook of Florida. A host of other relatives and friends survive.

A Memorial Service for Richard Paul Metzner will be on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Willow Fern Baptist Church at 5:00 P.M. with Jody Maggard officiating.
