Roger Dale Creech, 76 of Slemp, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on November 17, 2024 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.  Roger fought a good fight to finish his course and kept the faith.  He was born on August 21, 1948 to the late Hershel Creech and the late Loretta Creech Campbell.  Roger was employed by Casey Foods and retired in February 2020.  Roger worked as a grocery store manager for other companies as well.  Roger married the love of his life, Mary Ann on December 20, 1968.  From that union, they had two children, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Roger is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Creech and several other family members.

Roger Dale Creech leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory:  wife of 55-years, Mary Ann Creech of Slemp, KY; daughter, Kimberly Henson & husband John of Harlan, KY; son, Roger Keith Creech & Lisa of Willisburg, KY; grandchildren, James Dixon & Hailey, Tyler Dixon & Jordan, Katlyn Wells & Brandon, and Kari Chesser & Lucas; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Yvonne Steely of Middlesboro, KY and Karen McIntyre & Jerry of Viper, KY; sister-in-law, Linda Kay Creech of Slemp, KY; step-father, Rev. Merrill Campbell of LaFollette, TN; also a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive.

Roger was a member of the Trinity Holiness Tabernacle at Hiram, where he served faithfully as a deacon, board member, Sunday School superintendent, teacher, and youth leader.  Roger was a friend to many and loved his church family deeply.  In August of 1984, Roger was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Wendell H. Ford, an honor he was proud of.

Visitation for Roger Dale Creech will be held on Friday November 22, 2024 at the Trinity Holiness Tabernacle at 15326 Hwy 522 – Cumberland, KY 40823 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M.  The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 23, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at the Trinity Holiness Tabernacle with Pastor Jonathan Adams, Pastor Rex Lloyd, Pastor Garland Sergent, and Pastor Keith Creech officiating.  The Interment will follow in the Arch Halcomb Cemetery located at Little Leatherwood, Kentucky.
