Rufus Fugate born March 3, 1929 departed this life on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 93-years old. Rufus was born at Hardburly, Kentucky the son of the late Adam Fugate and the late Judy Shepherd Fugate. Other than his parents, Rufus was also preceded in death by his Wife, Tina Merrel Fugate; Five Sisters, Ida Mae, Agatha Jean (Gat), Norma Lee, Janice, and Jenny Lois; Brother, Ivan Fugate. Rufus had a passion for horses, loved hunting and fishing, gardening, detailing vehicles, and you never seen him without a chew of tobacco.

Rufus Fugate leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: Sons, Don, Danny Ray, and David; Daughters, Brenda, Barbara Ann, and Tonya; Step-Children, Teresa, Patsy, Mike. Twenty Grandchildren, Sixteen Great-Grandchildren, Four Great-Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Rufus Fugate will be conducted on Friday September 9, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Juanita Combs officiating. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M.
